Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to join our People Services Directorate as a Pay and Transactional Team Leader.
This key operational leadership role will support the delivery of a high-quality, responsive Pay and Transactional Service, ensuring employees receive accurate and timely pay and employment-related support. Reporting to the Pay and Transactional Manager, you will lead a small team, provide expert advice on NHS terms and conditions, and contribute to service improvements across the People Directorate.
The successful candidate will work closely with managers and colleagues across the Trust, supporting the delivery of efficient, customer-focused services while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism.
Main duties of the job
*Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Pay and Transactional Team.
*Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely pay and people administration services.
*Act as a point of escalation for complex Agenda for Change, ESR and pay-related queries.
*Support, coach and develop team members, identifying training and development needs.
*Monitor service performance and contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
*Lead on the implementation of service improvements, process redesign and efficiency initiatives.
*Produce and analyse reports, audits and workforce data to support decision-making.
*Develop and maintain strong working relationships with managers, staff and external stakeholders.
*Support projects, policy implementation and organisational change initiatives across People Services.
*Ensure compliance with Trust policies, NHS employment legislation and data governance requirements.
