Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified and experienced individuals, to join the Out of Hours Nursing Service covering the East Integrated Health Community. This is a Band 6 role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of nurses on shift, to deliver the highest standard of care to patients in the community setting. They will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive care in a timely manner, in the right place, by the right person.
They must have the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in all community settings. The ability to work collaboratively with District Nursing Teams and other members of the out of hours service are an essential part of this role.
Main duties of the job
The Out of Hours District Nursing service operates between 18.00 hrs and 08.00 hrs and is a 7 day service. Whilst this is a clinical role, the successful candidate will also be required to support and deputise for the team leader in all management duties.
