Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the service delivering health promoting programmes in schools and youth settings, and facilitating drop-ins for young people to build knowledge and resilience as well as reducing risks . This vacancy will be specifically focused on the aspect of relationships and sex education with some further work on drugs prevention and understanding anger.
Main duties of the job
To deliver a range of health promoting programmes alongside sensitive and responsive strategies and activities for inclusion in schools and a variety of settings including: relationship and sexual health, mental wellbeing, physical activity, substance misuse, oral health, food and nutrition and lifestyle/weight management.
To develop and deliver health care and health promotion as a member of the Let's Talk Service, using evidence-based practice and accessing professional leadership, management, and supervision.
To contribute to the development of best practice and facilitate shared learning to develop services and initiatives that meet local needs for children and young people, in relation to aims and objectives of Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust.
To develop effective links with key people in delivering services.
