Job summary
NLFT is seeking to appoint a permanent Clinical Lead to provide strategic, system-wide clinical leadership for the NCL Community CYPMHS Provider Collaborative, now entering its live operational phase.
This is a senior cross-provider leadership role responsible for:
Clinical governance and safety assurance across all providers.
Reducing unwarranted variation in pathways
Leading clinical strategy, policy standardisation and quality improvement
Supporting cross-provider transformation workstreams
Providing expert clinical oversight across the Collaborative's portfolio
Acting as clinical advisor to the Programme Director & Medical Director
Representing the PC at NCL ICB, Local Authority and system-wide forums
Providing 0.2 WTE clinical session with agreed Clinical Pathway to maintain active clinical practice
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide strategic clinical oversight, clinical transformation leadership, and senior governance across the NCL Community CYPMHS Provider Collaborative, ensuring high quality, safe and effective care across all partner organisations.
Job description
- Provide strategic clinical leadership to the Collaborative, working alongside the Programme Director and the Medical Director for CYPMHS.
- Ensure safe and effective clinical governance, quality oversight, and harmonisation of pathways across partner organisations.
- Lead the NCL Community CYPMHS Clinical Network, enabling crossprovider clinical collaboration and reducing unwarranted variation.
- Provide expert clinical input into transformation priorities, commissioning discussions, and systemwide planning.
- Represent the Clinical Voice of the Collaborative across the NCL Integrated Care Board (ICB), Local Authorities, and wider system forums.
- Maintain 0.2 WTE direct clinical activity within CAP, ensuring continued clinical practice and direct alignment with frontline CYPMHS services.
- Strengthen coproduction with children, young people, families, and the voluntary and community sector.
- The role is part of NLFTs commitment to supporting NCL system working through a clinically led, governancedriven, evidencebased approach to collaborative delivery.
