We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun. HMP Wealstun is a Category C men's prison with an operational capacity of around 1000. The prison has good transport links, as well as a free onsite car park.

This is a fantastic opportunity start or continue your career in Pharmacy and Healthcare - ideally you will have previous experience within pharmacy, but this isn't essential.   Salary This is a full time role, and the salary is £24,465 per annum. How will we support you?

Main duties of the job

The Health in Justice team at Practice Plus Group makes a real difference across over 53 prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. Our new Pharmacy Support Worker will have:

  • No experience is necessary - we are looking for someone with a keen interest in Pharmacy, and keen to pursue a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare within a prison
  • An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus, but isn't essential
  • Ideally have medicines handling experience, although not essential
  • Have a proactive approach, with excellent communication skills
