Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
TheHousekeeper will assist in the provision of a high level of care in all clinical areas under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. While being able to organise their own day to day work, tasks and activities, they will work in a collaborative manner within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery of the ward
The post holder will develop and maintain good patient care, organisational skills and assist with the provision of an environment conducive to clinical excellence. They will aim to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum .
The role of the Housekeeper requires them to assist in the maintenance of highly specialized and expensive equipment. Assist in the procurement, care and maintenance of all physical assets, including specialist equipment and supplies for the clinical area.
Main duties of the job
The Housekeeper will be expected to take ownership of the stock levels within the department, to include ordering of stock.
Assist in the cleaning schedules and ensure this is carried out daily and general housekeeping within the clinical area.
Access and use Trust IT systems for procurement and logging requests in addition to maintaining up to date spreadsheets.
To maintain Ward supplies,. to pre-determined levels and location throughout the department area, putting away as necessary.
To ensure that all equipment and supplies are within 'use by' date and used within date order.
To be aware of stock levels in the department for clinical and nonclinical items, ensuring that ward supplies are appropriately stored and that stocks in clinical areas are at appropriate levels.
Topping up of storage units in clinical areas.
To put stock away and maintain a clean, safe and tidy environment.
To check expiry dates regularly and manage stock rotation.
