Job summary

As a Nursing Associate, you'll hold a current NMC Pin and play an essential role in supporting people at every stage of life. You'll bring broad clinical knowledge and a compassionate, person centred approach, working independently while supported by registered nurses to deliver safe, responsive and dignified care across a variety of settings.

You'll draw on strong professional standards, understanding the boundaries of your practice and contributing to the full nursing process. This role offers the chance to develop your skills through ongoing learning, reflection and clinical supervision, while helping to assess, plan and evaluate care with accuracy and confidence.

Clear, sensitive communication will be central to your work, enabling strong relationships with patients, families and colleagues. You'll help maintain high quality records, support safe and effective practice, and advocate for those in your care, promoting a culture of openness and continuous improvement.

The nursing associate works independently under the supervision of registered nurses, working within the relevant scope of practice and within all aspects of the nursing process. Nursing Associate will recognise and work within the limits of their competence as defined by the NMC Code of Conduct and the Nursing Associate Standards of Proficiency and be able to identify own role boundaries. They are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate. The Nursing Associate will contribute to the health and wellbeing of our patients and service users across all healthcare settings. Integral to this role is the ability to communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary
