Main duties of the job
This position requires a qualified chef who is interested in working with fresh, seasonal food while maintaining a balance between work and personal life. It is a casual, part-time role that offers flexible working conditions. As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you can deliver high hotel/restaurant standards without enduring split shifts and long work weeks. Your responsibilities include assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious and delicious menus that are well balanced and tailored to the residents' preferences. The role also includes helping manage the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence, working within a budget, conducting audits, managing stock control, and leading and motivating a team. NEED TO HAVE
A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent Experience in helping lead and inspire a team A good understanding of nutrition Experience of working with fresh seasonal food The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home Good understanding of HACCP
