Main duties of the job
- Providing second-line clinical triage for same-day patient presentations
- Conducting face-to-face, telephone, and digital consultations
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing a variety of acute health conditions
- Carrying out home visits where required
- Supporting vaccination and preventative healthcare programmes
- Working closely with GPs, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Contributing to quality improvement and service development initiatives
- Delivering safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
Job description
Purpose of the role
As a Paramedic within Penrose Health, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care within a Primary Care setting. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will be responsible for the assessment, triage, and management of patients presenting with same-day healthcare needs.
This role provides the opportunity to develop long-term patient relationships and experience continuity of care, supporting patients from initial presentation through to resolution. You will contribute to a wide range of clinical activities, including remote and face-to-face consultations, home visits, vaccinations, and clinical support to GP colleagues.
Whether you are experienced in Primary Care or transitioning from another healthcare setting, you will be supported by an established team of Paramedics, GPs, and wider clinical colleagues who are committed to helping you develop your knowledge, confidence, and clinical expertise.
