Job summary

We are looking for a Salaried GP for 2-6 sessions per week.

We are a friendly, forward thinking city centre practice (approx. 13,500 patients) with a mixed and varied patient population. We are college doctors to eight of the Oxford colleges.

Main duties of the job

We are a supportive team of 5 GP Partners and 6 Salaried GPs. A strong nursing team, 2 experienced paramedic practitioners, an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, Clinicial Pharmacist and other allied health professionals & proactive care teams. We are well supported by our friendly and efficient patient advisor, administration and management teams. We are high performers through QoF and other enhanced services. We also pride ourselves on our excellent patient feedback.

Job description

Our Practice is managed by our Head of Business Administration & Finance. Northgate has a broad clerical support team, with a friendly patient advisory team and an efficient administration & data clerking team. We also have an Executive Assistant and a Patient Services Lead who supports our HBAF and partnership.

About us

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and committed GP and join our well organised practice, working in a multi-professional team whilst gaining valuable skills in a supportive and professional environment.

We are a teaching and training practice, with excellent feedback from all of our learners. We have medical students from the University of Oxford and we are actively involved in research as an NIHR approved research practice.

We are based in the heart of Oxford in a brand-new, purpose-built premises with our neighbouring practice of KES@Northgate. We have expanded practice services following our merger of 27 and 28 Beaumont Street practices.

We have strong relationships with the other three practices in our PCN (Oxford Central PCN) and work collaboratively alongside each other. We are building our team of health care professionals within the PCN.
