You will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic radiography services across both the Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital sites, supporting imaging within the Emergency Department, fracture clinics, GP and outpatient services, inpatient wards, fluoroscopy, paediatrics, operating theatres, and mobile radiography. You will play a key role in providing safe, patient-centred care while participating in a rotational rota that includes evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call duties to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive radiology service.

Main duties of the job

  • To monitor and report any concerns relating to equipment condition, workplace safety, or operational risks, ensuring appropriate escalation through established reporting processes. You will support continuous improvements in service safety and reliability.
  • To contribute to service development activities through involvement in audits, research projects, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental reviews. You will support the implementation of evidence-based improvements that enhance the effectiveness of imaging services.
  • To support workforce development by assisting with the induction, supervision, and professional growth of students, newly qualified staff, and colleagues undertaking further training.
