Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Salaried GP, to join our established team here at Lawton House Surgery. We provide the full range of NHS General Medical Services to our registered patients, and our aim is to provide personalised, quality healthcare. As a Salaried GP, you will be supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professional team of clinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality, person-centred, holistic clinical care to patients registered within the practice.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP you will be expected to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, doing triage, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Your weekdays will include working Mondays and Fridays. Furthermore, you will be expected to undertake duty doctor sessions in proportion to your sessions at the practice.
Job description
As a Salaried GP you will have NHS pension enrolment, a robust induction and ongoing development opportunities, thorough probationary reviews and feedback, opportunities to develop processes/projects and support training, administrative support, and onsite parking. We have a fully equipped purpose-built premises with a substantial extension and refurbishment; and a local cottage hospital with a comprehensive OPD, physiotherapy, X-ray and minor injuries unit.
About us
Lawton House Surgery is a well-established and respected practice in the heart of Congleton with approximately 13,500 patients. We are part of the Congleton and Holmes Chapel PCN and work closely with the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. We have 5 GP partners all with multiple roles. We also have a Good rating with the CQC. We have 3 salaried GPs, 4 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA. In addition, we have wider admin and reception teams using their experience to provide workflow optimisation and efficiencies to release clinical time, all supported by an experienced forward thinking Practice Management team
