Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre. Our theatre team cover a wide variety of specialties including Ortho, Bariatric, General, Gyane, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmics, Spinal.

Main duties of the job

As a Neurophysiologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of neurophysiological tests and procedures, including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies.

  • Your duties will include preparing patients for procedures, operating neurophysiological equipment, and analysing and interpreting test data.
  • You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, adhere to quality control protocols, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • You will collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive neurophysiological care, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the neurophysiology department.

Job description

Who we're looking

  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist or equivalent
  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in neurophysiology, including advanced techniques
  • Proficiency in using neurophysiological equipment and software
  • Strong understanding of neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathology
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
