Priory Hospital Barnt Green has an opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our team on our PICU ward. This role is not open to preceptors or newly qualified nurses.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to a defined group of patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual care plans in partnership with patients and their families. Monitor patients' progress, respond promptly to changes in their condition, and ensure safe, effective care through prioritisation, delegation and multidisciplinary teamwork. Maintain professional standards by adhering to safeguarding, medicines management, organisational policies and the NMC Code, while supporting clinical governance through supervision, reflective practice and continuous professional development. Build positive relationships with patients, relatives and colleagues, address concerns professionally, and contribute to the development of others by acting as a preceptor for newly qualified staff.

Priory Hospital Barnt Green, Barnt Green, Birmingham is a purpose-built hospital providing mental health support for adults and young people, including specialist therapy and psychiatry, as well as private autism assessments for adults. It is accessible by public transport, with Barnt Green railway station approximately 12 miles from the hospital and local bus routes serving the surrounding area. Due to the semi-rural location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
