Job summary

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Hepatology (specific interest in HCC) and Liver Transplantation at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This post is available to commence from January 2027.

The postholder will be expected to contribute to the local and regional in-patient and out-patient Hepatology and Liver Transplant service at CUH.

Main duties of the job

The candidate must have the ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems and be able to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of hepatology and liver transplant patients.

You will be fully registered with the GMC or be eligible for entry onto the Register or be within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview, with subspecialty Hepatology accreditation.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
