Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Doctor/Clinical Practicioner to join our well-regarded primary care minor surgery service for a minimum of 2 sessions per week. As an established local referral centre, our growing patient volume means we are now looking to expand our team of skilled clinicians.
In this role, you will independently, perform minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic, fully supported by a dedicated member of our nursing team. Procedures are routinely allocated 30-minute time slots, and the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical efficiency alongside high standards of patient care.

Main duties of the job
Working primarily with dermatological presentations within a primary care population, your main duties will include:
- Clinical Assessment & Triage: Reviewing referrals and conducting pre-operative assessments and informed consent.
- Surgical Procedures: Performing minor skin surgery for benign lesions ("lumps and bumps") and low-risk basal cell carcinomas (BCCs).
- Patient Care: Providing post-operative follow-up and wound care oversight as required.
- Governance & Quality: Participating in clinical audits and quality assurance activities.
- MDT Collaboration: Working closely with practice nurses, GPs, administrative staff, and the community dermatology team.
- Referral Management: Making appropriate secondary care referrals when clinically indicated.
