Main duties of the job

Activities Coordinator - working 12 hours per week from 10am to 4pm on a Saturday and a Sunday on a weekly basis. A day in the life of an Activities Coordinator includes providing support, companionship, communication and engagement with residents. You will be in charge of designing an engaging activities plan both internally and with external resources, planning events such as summer BBQs or Christmas parties for residents, and always being in conversation with residents to see which activities they want to do and bringing them to fruition. You will also be speaking with external entertainers or businesses to organise visits or arranging visits for residents. Support clients to live as independently as possible with their mobility through activities such as Zumba, ballroom, or balloon tennis, and offer social activities, trips out, and engagements. Team support is also crucial, helping new or existing colleagues through shadowing and teamwork, and supporting the smooth running of the home when required. The Role Activities Coordinator - working 12 hours per week from 10am to 4pm on a Saturday and a Sunday on a weekly basis

A day in the life of an Activities Coordinator Companionship- providing support, companionship, communication and engagement with residents

Creating activities - you will be in charge of designing an engaging activities plan both internally and with external resources.

Event planning our Activities Coordinators are involved with planning events such as summer BBQs or Christmas parties for our residents.

Resident interaction you will always be in conversation with residents to see which activities they want to do and bringing them to fruition.

External communications as an Activities Coordinator you will be speaking with external entertainers or businesses to organise visits from entertainers or arranging for visits to businesses for the residents.

Mobility - supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility through activities such as Zumba or ballroom or even things like balloon tennis.

Social activities- trips out, social engagements and activities within the home for all abilities.

Team support - helping new or existing colleagues through shadowing and teamwork, and supporting the smooth running of the home when required

Caring, positive, and reliable individuals

Previous care experience is not essential, as fully funded training is provided
