Our practices have structured support systems in place to facilitate training for paramedics on the First Contact Practitioner (FCP) and Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) pathways, including:
Advanced assessment training
Prescribing support
Specialized skill development beyond minor illness
Our training practices also allow team members to develop expertise in areas such as musculoskeletal medicine, palliative care, dermatology, oncology, and long-term condition management. GPs and the MDT offer consistent support, fostering a collaborative learning culture across the organization.

JOB TITLE: Paramedic Practitioner
REPORTS TO: MDT Lead GP clinically, administratively to PCN Manager
HOURS: Up to 37.5 hours per week

Your Role:
- Conduct telephone and face-to-face consultations for urgent or acute care patients.
- Assess, examine, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated conditions.
- Advise patients on medications, health promotion, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with MDT members to ensure holistic care.
- Undertake home visits where required.
Maintain accurate patient records and participate in audits, QOF, and clinical trials.
