Are you a qualified LARC Long-Acting Reversible Contraception Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care? We're currently seeking a skilled Locum LARC Nurse to join a supportive and dynamic team in East London.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Accredited LARC training (coil and implant fitting/removal)
- Proven experience in sexual and reproductive health services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Main duties of the job
- Provide comprehensive counselling on contraceptive options, with an emphasis on LARC methods including intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants.
- Assess patient medical history and eligibility for LARC methods.
- Perform insertions and removals of LARC devices, adhering to clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
- Monitor for complications or side effects and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives related to reproductive health services.
- Qualifications:
- Required:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license [State-specific]
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Proven clinical experience in womens health, family planning, or reproductive healthcare
- Competency in LARC insertion and removal procedures or willingness to be trained
- Preferred:
- BSN or higher nursing degree
- Certification in reproductive health or family planning (e.g., from AWHONN or NCC)
- Experience working in community health, family planning clinics, or OB-GYN settings
