Wigan Building Attachment and Bonds Support (BABS) is a specialist Parent Infant Mental Health Service located in the Community CAMHS division within Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust.

The team provides a clinical service, consultation, training and workforce development in the perinatal period and up until the child's 3rd birthday across the borough.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior and experienced Clinical Psychologist or Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join a small, passionate and skilled multi-disciplinary team as Clinical Lead, working along side parents/carers and their infants to support the development of parent infant relationships. The role involves providing clinical leadership, specialist supervision and consultation and service development and delivery.

Main duties of the job

As a senior and highly specialist clinical psychologist/child and adolescent psychotherapist, the post holder will have substantial senior clinical experience and post-qualification training.

The post-holder will have a high level of knowledge and expertise in working within the perinatal period and working with infants, young children and parents, across a range of settings and levels of need.

The post holder will provide high-quality specialist psychological and psychotherapeutic assessments and therapy for infants, young children and their parent/carer who are referred to the service.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership to the Wigan BABS team which includes providing specialist clinical supervision, consultation, service development and evaluation and working across the Thrive Framework.

The post holder will provide consultation, training and leadership in parent infant mental health within the Wigan Borough.
