Job summary

We are looking for a Locum Dental Nurse to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at HMS Nelson Dental Centre, in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

This is a locum role (37.5 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Pay rate:

Umbrella £19.54

Paye - £16.99 (£15.16 + £1.83 holiday pay)

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with clinical duties including preparing and sterilising instruments, operating the dental computing system, and processing radiographs.
  • Manage patient appointments, dental records and ensure proper documentation of dental prosthetic appliances.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures and follow Health and Safety policies.
  • Assist in the central sterilisation area as required.
  • Ensure compliance with GDC (General Dental Council) standards and current legislation.
