A day in the life of a Deputy Manager You will support the Registered Manager, and work closely together to provide consistent operational management, leadership, and oversight.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities include the induction of new team members, supervision of existing team members, completion of care audits, liaising with family members and professionals, and ensuring records are up to date. A minimum 12-month right to work, a UK driving license, and access to a vehicle are required. Knowledge of the care sector, preferably in supported living, and familiarity with CQC regulations are essential. Level 3 or above qualifications in Health & Social Care and prior team-leading experience are desirable.

A day in the life of a Deputy Manager

You will support the Registered Manager, and work closely together to provide consistent operational management, leadership, and oversight.Together you will ensure a safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led service to our clients and staff to ensure a high delivery of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Induction of new team members and supervision and support to existing team members
  • The completion of care audits to ensure good practice and trigger reviews in care provision for clients as needs change. Your care plans would be person-centred, with focus on dignity and individuality
  • Liaising with family members, care professionals, social workers and the clients themselves to ensure a holistic and transparent care provision.
  • Monitor, report and investigate risks and events of safeguarding concern or harm and ensure processes are in place to mitigate and/or avoid these risks
  • Ensuring administrative records such as daily care notes, medication charts and meeting notes are up to date.
