Job summary

GP Partner or Salaried GP (with a View to Partnership)

3-7 Sessions | Sherwood, Nottingham

An opportunity has arisen to join our well-established GP practice in Sherwood, Nottingham, following the retirement of one of our long-standing GP Partners.

We are looking for either an experienced GP wishing to join us as a Partner, or a Salaried GP who is interested in developing into Partnership in the future.

We care for a list of approximately 5,000 patients and are proud to be an Outstanding CQC-rated practice, recognised for delivering consistently high-quality, personalised care. We consistently achieve high performance in QOF and Enhanced Services and, despite our relatively small size, have built a strong reputation for excellent patient care. We were ranked amongst the highest-performing GP practices in Nottingham City in the 2026 GP Patient Survey and continue to receive consistently excellent feedback through the NHS Friends and Family Test.

About us

We remain committed to the principles of traditional general practice. Our GPs have personalised patient lists, allowing them to build lasting relationships with patients and provide genuine continuity of care.

At the same time, we are progressive in our approach, embracing new ways of working where they improve patient care while retaining the values that matter most.

Main duties of the job

A supportive team

Our clinical team is supported by:

  • Senior GP Partner with 30+ years experience.
  • Two experienced full-time Practice Nurses.
  • PCN Pharmacists, FCP and a mental health practitioner.
  • A proactive and experienced management team, with over 10 years' service.
  • A knowledgeable and well-trained administrative team who actively support clinicians, helping to ensure patient care remains the focus of the working day.

We are fortunate to have a stable team with many long-serving members of staff who know our patients and each other well. We believe that a supportive working environment benefits everyone, our patients included.

Work-life balance

We know that general practice is demanding and believe it should also be sustainable.

We organise our workload so that, wherever possible, practice work is completed within normal working hours. We believe that time away from work is essential for delivering high-quality patient care, and we actively support our team in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Supporting your career

We regularly invest in staff development and encourage our GPs to develop portfolio careers or specialist interests, whether that is Women's Health, Occupational Health, research or another area of expertise.
