Devons Wellbeing Service is transforming how we support children and families and we're looking for a Clinical Team Manager to join us on this journey. You will manage a team of multi disciplinary practitioners providing assessment, treatment and consultation to children and those supporting and caring for them.

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity to be part of a service that is restorative, relational, and trauma-informed, working alongside a passionate multi-disciplinary team. You'll manage clinical practitioners across Devon, ensuring that children and young people receive the right support at the right time whether they're on the edge of care, returning home, in care, or leaving care.

Job Purpose -

The post holder will provide day-to-day operational management of the provision ofcare and treatment within the Wellbeing Service Clinical Team

To line manage a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians

To provide specialist clinical interventions and advice as required.

To provide leadership to the clinical team ensuring the efficient and effective delivery ofthe service.

To manage effective operational delivery of the service in collaboration with theoperational lead, senior clinicians, and other Team Managers

To ensure the service is based on best practice and evidence, is outcomes focussedand audit and outcome monitoring is used to improve outcomes for children and youngpeople

To be an integral part of the Wellbeing Service and wider childrens services leadershipteam contributing to transformational change and continuous service improvement

To promote the protection of children, adhering to the Local Safeguarding ChildrensBoard policies and procedures.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence andfluency in English.

Main duties and responsibilities -

Provide effective collaborative leadership and day to day operational management ofthe clinical team

Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of evidence based clinical care includingtriage, assessment, clinical formulation and care planning, treatment, and discharge ofchildren and young people

Ensure the service is delivered in partnership with children, young people and theirparents/ carers, ensuring their active participation is facilitated and feedback elicited,considered and acted-upon

In partnership with the Clinical Lead, ensure that clinical and non-clinical risks within thepathway are identified and managed effectively

To maintain systems designed to monitor demand and maintain optimal capacity withinthe team

To ensure data is captured and used to drive effective service delivery and improvement

Work collaboratively with other leaders (professional, clinical and operational), tomaintain a culture within the service of excellence in clinical standards and safety

Work with other Team Managers across childrens services to ensure the clinicalpathway is delivered as part of an integrated system of care, to improve outcomes forchildren and young people

Provide supervision, operational management and support to clinicians with the ability todemonstrate compassionate leadership, to understand and follow HR policies andprocedures, ensure staff wellbeing and development and adopt a collaborative approachto engage staff with a range of skills and communication needs

Attend, participate and chair relevant meetings with the ability to present information in arange of formats, adapting communication to meet the needs of others

To deputise for the Clinical Lead and Wellbeing Team Managers as required Location/Mobility

You may be required to work at, or from, any additional location as may be determinedby the organisation from time to time. The organisation also reserves the right from timeto time to change your base on a permanent basis to a reasonable location determinedby it at the time the change is made.

You may also be required to travel between premises for the performance of your duties.
