Job summary
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a salaried GP to join the team at Fearnhead Cross Medical Centre.
This vacancy is for 4 sessions per week and would be working 2 sessions on a Monday, and 2 sessions on a Friday.
This is a fixed term position until 31st March 2027.
Please note, we are not a sponsor so are unable to provide sponsorship should this be required.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will carry out the duties expected of an NHS GP using the standards set out by the GMC and RCGP alongside local and national guidelines.
Each session is 4 hours and 10 minutes long and will consist of face-to-face and telephone appointments with home visits when required. The successful candidate will also be expected to do associated admin tasks and queries such as medicines management, test results and queries. The position would include on call duties on a pro-rata basis.

Key responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of presenting health needs in a primary care setting
- Deliver high quality patient care in accordance with guidelines
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Deliver patient consultations (Face-to-face, telephone, home visit)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Accurately complete a share of workflow tasks
- Participate in on call duties.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
About us
Fearnhead Cross Medical Centre is a busy practice in Warrington, Cheshire with easy access to motorways and surrounding areas. There is a branch surgery located nearby and the list size is approximately 12,800.
The practice uses EMIS web and has a full team of supportive staff, including:

- Practice Manager and 2 associate managers
- 4 Salaried GP's
- 2 GP Registrars
- 3 Practice nurses
- 2 Clinical pharmacists
- 3 Health care assistants
- Clinical support
- Reception and Administration team
- We have additional roles such as care co-ordinators, pharmacist, Social precriber and First contact physiotherapist
- We also have GP's that have a special interest in minor surgery, joint injections and training.
