Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our IT team as we embark onto our journey of continued growth. We are looking for a result driven individual to bring new and innovative ideas to our team. If successful you will be responsible supporting our Director of Engineering in the end-to-end development of web applications, from concept and design to testing and deployment. The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple developments in the stack, including the design and development of new features and functionality within inhouse systems.
Job description
We are looking for someone who can: Develop and optimise CHECs web applications, including our EPR (electronic patient record) Deliver scalable, high-quality web applications with a proven track record of success Lead agile development teams effectively, mentoring and supporting junior developers Apply strong expertise in both front-end and back-end development Design robust software systems using sound architectural principles and design patterns Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently Work confidently with REST APIs, microservices, and containerization technologies Champion test-driven development (TDD) to ensure code quality and reliability Take initiative with a proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving and delivery Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment through experienced, empathetic leadership Commit to continuous learning and stay current with emerging technologies and best practices Implement and maintain application monitoring and observability, proactively identifying and resolving system issues Own the full software lifecycle from system design and development through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
