Job summary

We are an established NHS GP organisation comprising four sister practices: Grays Inn Medical Group Chancery Lane, Grays Inn Medical Group Vauxhall, Grays Inn Medical Group Hampstead, and Grays Inn Medical Group West Hampstead.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated individual to join our friendly administration team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an NHS GP practice and possess strong IT skills, a good understanding of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will be well organised, able to manage competing priorities, and committed to completing tasks accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the practice with a range of key administrative and clinical coding tasks. Your duties will include managing QOF-related work and running clinical searches, summarising and coding clinical correspondence using EMIS Web, and managing the document workflow by ensuring relevant correspondence is allocated to the appropriate clinicians.

You will also be responsible for summarising paper medical records for newly registered patients and processing patient deductions when they leave the practice.

Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided, ensuring you gain the knowledge and confidence needed to carry out all aspects of the role effectively.

Job description

Being part of the administration team, you will asked to:

  • Be responsible for QOF
  • Create and run searches
  • Code clinical letters to ensure diagnoses and investigations are reflected accurately on a patient's medical record
  • Sending relevant documents to doctors which require their review (change in patient's medication, hospital results, etc)
  • Review new patients medical paper notes
  • Deduct patients who have left the practice and send their medical notes
