ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Other responsibilities will include: Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times. Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner. Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.

Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in Avon Valley Care Home. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high standards of personal care, working as part of a cohesive team to ensure consistent and continuous services. You'll assist residents with personal hygiene tasks while maintaining their independence and respect. Identifying clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, or signs of infection and escalating appropriately are crucial aspects of the role. Respect and courtesy towards residents and visitors, along with safe working practices, are emphasized. Experience isnt necessary as an exhaustive induction and training program is offered to ensure confidence and competence in your role. Key personal qualities include effective communication, initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to the values of caring, honesty, respect, and accountability.
