Job summary

We are pleased to offer the position of Dispenser in our Abercrave Surgery - 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday. The post will be with our friendly patient focused team at Ystradgynlais Group Practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, experienced and friendly member of the team. The successful candidate would ideally have experience working in a dispensary.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to have excellent customer care and communication skills. You will be required to dispense medication efficiently and safely and to manage stock levels within the dispensary.

Other duties will include:

Dispensing dosette trays.

Ordering and checking medication upon receipt,

Date checking of medication,

Ensuring the pharmacy is kept clean and tidy,

Generating prescription labels and assembling prescriptions accurately and efficiently.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience (desirable but not essential). But it isn't all about experience, we are looking for someone who is confident and has a friendly personality. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a valued member of the pharmacy team.

Ystradgynlais Group Practice is a large dispensing practice based over 3 sites at Pengorof Surgery, Ystalyfera Surgery and Abercrave Surgery. Our team of 9 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 Registrars are supported by our Pharmacists, Advanced Care Nurses, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Phlebotomists, along with a number of administrative staff.
