10PAs per week

Monday to Friday service between 9am to 5pm

No on call rota

Up to 30 days of study leave over three years

Main duties of the job

The Speciality Doctor will provide medical treatment within a model of multi-disciplinary care

They will attend weekly clinical team meetings and perform medical duties that are decisions of that meeting

They will compile a patients history from a number of sources, and prepare case summaries and discharge summaries

They will liaise with other clinical teams within and outside the trust

The Speciality Doctor will liaise with general practitioners and medical specialists with regards the physical health of the patients

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies.

Clinical duties are to contribute to the MDT management of children with identified neurodevelopmental needs.

To conduct outpatient clinics consisting of routine and urgent new patient assessments and review/follow up appointments.

To carry telephone/remote consultations with service users as appropriate.

To participate in appropriate multi-disciplinary team meetings such as MDT meetings.

To maintain electronic health records in accordance with Trust policies.
