Job summary

We are looking for Ward Assistant to join our IPU team, this is a part time role working 15 hours (2 days) per week on a rota basis which will include weekends. The role is fixed termfor 6 months.

Job description

As a Ward Assistant you will assist nursing staff in providing a high standard of care to patients and contribute towards maintaining a clean and safe environment within the Hospice. You will support the comfort and wellbeing of our patients and families and undertake roles including food preparation & distribution and light cleaning & housekeeping duties, such as making beds.

To be successful in this role you will have experience working as a housekeeper or within a domestic role with an understanding of hygiene and infection control procedures. You will be caring and able to communicate with empathy.
