Job summary
Pennygate Medical Centre is seeking a highly organised and proactive Rota Co-ordinator to join our busy practice team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator with workforce planning or rota management experience to play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating GP and nursing rotas, managing annual and study leave arrangements, sourcing locum cover and maintaining appointment templates within SystmOne.
Working closely with GP Partners, the Practice Managment team and clinical leads, you will ensure that staffing levels are maintained and appointment capacity is optimised to meet the needs of our patient population.
Main duties of the job
- Plan, coordinate and maintain GP and nursing rotas.
- Monitor staffing levels and identify potential rota gaps.
- Manage annual leave, study leave and sickness absence arrangements.
- Arrange and coordinate locum GP and nursing cover when required.
- Create, amend and maintain appointment templates within SystmOne.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to ensure safe service delivery.
- Produce reports highlighting workforce pressures and rota requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for rota-related queries.
- Support workforce planning and service capacity management.
