Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your main focus will be to work as part of a team to ensure all cleanliness and laundry standards are maintained throughout the care home. You will adhere to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are upheld. Your responsibilities include executing all cleaning duties as per worksheet instructions, understanding the requirements for cleaning different surfaces, and ensuring the respect and dignity of all residents, especially regarding their personal space and belongings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality service delivery, with knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. Experience in public laundry cleaning and adaptability to cover various responsibilities at short notice is also essential.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home.You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
