We are looking for a confident Learning Disabilities Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care. Youll be working full time, 42 hours a week (days and nights from 07:45am/pm until 08:00pm/am, including alternative weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Ashbrook.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for experiencedLearning Disabilities Support Workersto join our team working at Cygnet Ashbrook.

Youll be working42 hours a week(days and nights from 07:45am/pm until 08:00pm/am, includingalternative weekends),making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care atCygnet Ashbrook.

Cygnet Ashbrook supports individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. Individuals are supported to hold their own tenancy agreement with a registered housing association. Individuals who are interested in living here may have previously been admitted within a hospital setting and are ready for a step-down placement within their local community.

Please note, to apply for this role you need to have a Full UK Driving Licence as you will be required to drive our service users to external activities.

You are

  • Driven with a desire to make a real difference in peoples lives
  • Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities
  • An excellent communicator and a good team player
  • Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
  • Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence

Your day-to-day

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs
  • Report on medical & welfare needs as required
  • Safeguard all patients
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
