The HEIW Pharmacy Deanery is looking to appoint a Pharmacy Clinical Placement Facilitator based in North Wales to support the Funded Pharmacy Undergraduate Placement Programme for Wales. These opportunities are available at 0.4 FTE

Now preparing to embark on its fourth cohort, the programme, developed collaboratively by Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) and the Schools of Pharmacy in Wales, provides every pharmacy undergraduate with additional days of supervised placements in hospitals, GP practices, and community pharmacies across their four-year undergraduate programme.

The programme is designed around the use of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) to support undergraduate students in gaining the necessary clinical experience to meet the 'does' level on Miller's Triangle.

The post holder will play a key role in managing the allocated region of this all-Wales programme and will use their pharmaceutical expertise and experience of the delivering Pharmacy Learning outcomes to deliver a quality assured programme.

The role will require the post holder to build effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including Higher Education Institutions and host training organisations within Local Health Boards and the community and primary care sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a team that is currently delivering a significant programme of change to Pharmacist education and training in Wales
