We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join our Staff Bank, supporting services across both acute and community settings. About the Role
You will work across a variety of acute and community services, depending on service need and your clinical experience.
Acute Services
Our acute Occupational Therapy teams work across a range of specialties, including:
- Emergency Department
- Older People's Services
- Acute Medical Unit
- General Medicine
- Stroke and Neurology
- Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics
- Renal and Oncology
- General Surgery and Vascular Services
- Critical Care and Respiratory Services
Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments, treatment plans and interventions.
- Support effective discharge planning and facilitate safe transitions of care.
- Work flexibly across specialties and services to meet operational requirements.
- Provide person-centred care within hospital, rehabilitation and community settings.
- Collaborate effectively as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to positive patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and professional expertise.

Community Services
Our community Occupational Therapy teams provide assessment and intervention within patients' homes and community settings, including:
- Lambeth and Southwark Intermediate Care Teams
- @Home Rapid Response Service
- Community Rehabilitation and Falls Service
- Community Stroke Team
- Pulross Specialist Rehabilitation Unit
- Amputee Rehabilitation Unit
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Have relevant post-registration experience, ideally at Band 6 level or equivalent.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills.
- Be adaptable, proactive and able to work across a range of service environments.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality care and promoting patient independence.
