We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join our Staff Bank, supporting services across both acute and community settings. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your specialist skills to one of the UK's leading NHS Trusts, with the flexibility to work across a wide range of clinical specialties.

As a Bank Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work within diverse and rewarding services, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across hospital and community environments.

About the Role

You will work across a variety of acute and community services, depending on service need and your clinical experience.

Acute Services

Our acute Occupational Therapy teams work across a range of specialties, including:

  • Emergency Department
  • Older People's Services
  • Acute Medical Unit
  • General Medicine
  • Stroke and Neurology
  • Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics
  • Renal and Oncology
  • General Surgery and Vascular Services
  • Critical Care and Respiratory Services

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments, treatment plans and interventions.
  • Support effective discharge planning and facilitate safe transitions of care.
  • Work flexibly across specialties and services to meet operational requirements.
  • Provide person-centred care within hospital, rehabilitation and community settings.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to positive patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and professional expertise.

Community Services

Our community Occupational Therapy teams provide assessment and intervention within patients' homes and community settings, including:

  • Lambeth and Southwark Intermediate Care Teams
  • @Home Rapid Response Service
  • Community Rehabilitation and Falls Service
  • Community Stroke Team
  • Pulross Specialist Rehabilitation Unit
  • Amputee Rehabilitation Unit

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Have relevant post-registration experience, ideally at Band 6 level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills.
  • Be adaptable, proactive and able to work across a range of service environments.
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality care and promoting patient independence.
