An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, motivated and experienced Head of Fire, Health & Safety and Security to join our Resilience Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the delivery of effective fire, health & safety and security strategies across all of our sites. Leading a team of Fire, Health & Safety and Security professionals and external specialists, you will provide professional leadership and strategic direction to the Trust on all related fire, health & safety and security matters.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Fire, Health & Safety and Security is required to ensure compliance with the various statutory legislation, deliver training, carry out inspections and audits against the current fire, health & safety and security practices around the Trust and legislation that is in place. Ensuring a programme of audit is in place to provide assurance that organisational fire, health & safety and security policies are being followed.

We are looking for someone with the necessary qualifications, knowledge and experience to lead a small team who are required to ensure compliance with statutory legislation.

The post holder will be an expert in their field and will provide strategic direction and leadership in the management of the Trust's statutory Health, Safety, Fire and Security duties to ensure a healthy environment for all employees, service users, contractors and public. This is a unique opportunity to shape the Trust's Fire, Health & Safety and Security strategy to ensure the safety and continuity of care across the organisation. You should be self-motivated and able to work independently and prioritise assigned tasks effectively. You should also possess strong communication and teamworking skills.
