If so, our community nursepost in the Enuresis Service within Integrated Community Paediatric Services at West Suffolk Hospital Foundation Trust could be the role for you. We are looking for an ambitious, experienced nurse to join our established small team dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young children with Nocturnal Enuresis issues and the co-ordination of Paediatric Product Provision across the county of Suffolk (excludes Lowestoft and Waveney).

Main duties of the job

You willwork as a community nurse, providing evidence -based clinic support for children and young people who have nocturnal enuresis in line with national guidelines andprovide supervision to junior members of staff.

This will include:

  • Support for clients and families attending clinic, screen referrals via single point of access and undertake home /school visits as needed and refer on as appropriate
  • Work autonomously, managing your caseload within the Enuresis service, providing highly specialised evidence-based care, including supporting the triaging of referrals from a single point of access
  • Support the Product Provision service for disposable continence products
  • Work with Children and Young Peoples services to contribute to planning, coordinating and developing educational initiatives around continence care
  • Support the writing and updating of polices and guidelines relevant to paediatric continence
  • Support the planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Enuresis Service in line with best practice and client feedback
  • Support the line management of staff through effective implementation of all organisational policies and procedures and provide monthly supervision
  • Work with other health professionals as required supporting a multidisciplinary approach
  • Maintain national links with other paediatric enuresis/continence services establishing best practice.
