Job description

The Integration Engineer will be a key specialist technical resource within the Systems and Integration Department, supporting the successful delivery of integration developments, digital workflow improvements and related technical changes across the Trust and associated organisations. The role includes designing, developing, testing and implementing interfaces between local Trust systems, national and local health community systems and third-party supplier systems. This will include sharing technical knowledge, supporting clear operating procedures and helping create an efficient flow from development into live service support. The post holder will work with colleagues and suppliers to support safe implementation, testing and transition of integration changes, ensuring appropriate documentation, test plans, operational procedures, disaster recovery information, project reports and handover materials are in place. The role will actively look for opportunities to improve how information moves between systems, reduce manual work, strengthen data flow, support process efficiency and use approved automation or digital workflow tools where appropriate. The post holder will work with minimal supervision and communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
