This is a fantastic opportunity for aqualified and ambitiousindividual with experience in mental health community to continue developing your managerial and leadership skills whilst continuing to undertakevaried and more complex clinical work.

This is asenior rolewithin amultidisciplinary team that consists of both highly experienced and newly qualified professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our local community.

The team are currently undergoing reorganisation but the successful candidate will remain in post in Oxford City.

The post holder will be required to work at the base Monday - Friday 9-5pm.

Main duties of the job

As Deputy Team Manager, you will support the Consultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Lead) and Team Manager (Operational Lead),to provide clinical and leadership support to the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day management and clinical supervision to staff.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and performance management of the team.
  • Undertaking clinical duties, including duty shifts, conducting assessments and managing a small caseload.
  • Liaison with other services and stakeholders as required, often acting as a link person for complex situations.
  • Support of investigating informal and formal complaints as necessary.
  • Acting as Duty Manager on a rota that does include weekends and out of hours working (full shadowing support will be provided for those new to this responsibility).
  • Deputising for the Team Manager as required.

Please note, this role requires you to have access to a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence, please do not apply if you do not possess this.
