Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the GMMH Corporate Safeguarding Team as a Specialist Nurse/Professional Safeguarding Adults.
The postholder will support the Adult Safeguarding Lead to lead on the adult safeguarding agenda and be responsible for ensuring that the Trust carries out its statutory duties in relation to safeguarding adults.
Main duties of the job
As the Specialist Nurse/Professional Safeguarding Adults, you will be responsible for to ensuring the Trust carries out its statutory duties with respect to safeguarding adults.
To assist with the development and implementation of the Trust's safeguarding adult agenda, and ensure that Trust policies, procedures and governance systems meet statutory and national requirements in relation to safeguarding adults.
To support the Head of Safeguarding/Adult Safeguarding Lead to ensure that the Trust contributes to multi-agency safeguarding adult work alongside specialist safeguarding professionals from other organisations and bodies, including Adult social care and health, and in the planning and development of strategies for safeguarding.
To ensure that safeguarding concerns are monitored and dealt with in a timely and effective way across the organisation.
