Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic qualified CBT therapist to join our well-established Mental Health Support Team (MHST) based in Eastleigh. The team is made up of CBT therapists, Senior Education Mental Health practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners. The role will involve delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Whilst the base is in Eastleigh, the community nature of the role may mean you are required to travel and support in other locations across the wider MHST area.
You will work in education settings and in the community. You will undertake mental health assessments (including risk assessments) and will work within schools using evidenced based CBT interventions. This would be an ideal post for a qualified CBT therapist who is also looking to develop their supervisory and leadership skills in a health and educational context. There are also exciting progression opportunities within the trust.
Main duties of the job
You will work directly with children and young people of primary and secondary school age, and in some cases their parents and carers. You will support MHST work to develop and deliver whole school approaches for emotional wellbeing and mental health.
You will receive regular supervision and will be supported with ongoing training and CPD opportunities.
