Job summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Lead Nurse to lead and inspire our dedicated nursing team.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse with leadership skills to play a key role in shaping and developing our nursing services.

Working closely with the management team, you will provide professional leadership and operational oversight of the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.You will lead on clinical governance, CQC compliance, quality improvement, staff development, and nursing policies, while supporting service innovation and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice across the surgery.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure safe and complaint patient care
  • Coordinate care for chronic disease management such as Asthma, COPD.
  • Smears, immunisations
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate documentation of patient records and incident reports
  • Lead nurse meetings
  • Safety & Infection Control, Vaccine Cold Chain Management, Emergency Equipment & Resuscitation Checks, Clinical Waste & Sharps Disposal. Protected non clinical time will be allocated to perform these duties

Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting with supervisory or management responsibilities in nursing teams
  • Prior roles involving supervising staff members and
