Job summary
Salary: £39,000 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Full-time or Part-time (37.5 hours per week available)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team at Peel House Medical Practice.

We require 37.5 hours a week of Practice nursing time and will consider full time and part-time application requests.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player who strives to deliver a high standard of care. You will have experience in general practice Nursing duties, including cervical cytology, childhood immunisations, spirometry and managing long-term conditions. It is desirable that you have good knowledge of chronic disease management including, diabetes, asthma, and COPD. A comprehensive knowledge of QOF would be an advantage but not essential. We are not an agenda for change practice, but our salaries, annual leave and sickness absence pay are competitive.
Job description
To be responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing to the Practice population. The focus of the role is both the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with a long-term condition, and the provision of preventative health care to the practice population. As a Practice Nurse, the nurse is responsible for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making in the management of patients within the boundaries of their role. They will work collaboratively within the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, support the delivery of policy and procedures, and provide support to their colleagues. They will engage with the practice clinical networks and work towards the RCN competency framework for Practice Nurses as part of their on-going development.
