Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our operational team for a Band 8A Deputy Operations Manager to the Clinical Administration Division. The successful candidate will be based at the Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge but must be prepared to work and travel to other site at Huntington on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will be dynamic and either an experienced manager or aspiring leader with solid operational experience. The role requires you to work closely with operational and clinical colleagues within the triumvirate divisional structure to provide leadership and management of resource, performance and standards of care. We welcome both clinical and non-clinical applicants with strong flow and discharge experience.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will lead the Bed Management, Reception, Discharge Specialist nurses, Switchboard and Transport teams, overseeing the provision of safe and effective management of patient flow within the Trust. You will work collaboratively with the clinical operational teams to ensure leadership and management of resource, performance and standards of care

The post-holder will continually review the services and contribute to the strategic direction of these and the Trust whilst optimising efficiency and capacity within the set financial budget to achieve SIP/CIP annual targets.
