An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bowel Cancer Screening Data & Health Inequalities Manager to join the West Kent & Medway Bowel Cancer Screening Service. Please note the role will based at Regus.
The Bowel Cancer Screening Programme invites those aged 50-74 years to complete a home test kit which if positive requires them to attend for further suitability assessment for colonoscopy, as well as incorporating surveillance of Lynch syndrome patients. The service is hosted by Darent Valley Hospital but covers Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells and Medway.
This role requires an experienced and flexible manager to join the BCSP Management Team in the service delivery of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme for West Kent and Medway.
This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.
Main duties of the job
The role will report to the Programme Manager and the successful candidate will support with the management of the admin team across the four sites as well as accurately manage the programme's data and health inequalities & health promotion work within the centre.
The post will be based at Regus, however it is expected that the successful candidate will work with the admin and SSP teams and travel to other sites including Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust, Medway NHS Foundation Trust Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, as well as to other sites around West Kent & Medway as required.

Key responsibilities
Act as a key point of contact for any queries and concerns
Support the Management Team to deliver service KPIs and objectives.
Daily organisation of service supporting managers with scopists rotas and arranging additional cover.
Organise and maintain rotas of screeners availability.
Provide feedback / monitor progress to the Programme Manager on the productivity and quality of work of the team, reporting on KPIs outlined in the service Schedule
Monitor and track cancer PTLs and 28 FDS, along with BCSP specific KPIs
Attend and minute meetings as required.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
Monitor compliance with Trust policies, processes, QA recommendations and Cancer Waiting Times Targets
Work with relevant managers to ensure complaints are dealt with and appropriate records are kept for QA/commissioners.
Monitor clinic appointments, with oversight of BCSS weekly slot availability and Colonoscopy slot availability.
Provide comprehensive and effective monitoring and validation of information required for the BCSP National Office.
