Job summary

We are seeking a part-time 30 hrs, band 7 psychologist for the Guildford Neighbourhood team.

This is a great opportunity for Band 7 Psychologists to work within well established and supportive teams, joining an experienced psychological and multi-disciplined workforce working with complex needs within a wider neighbourhood service. We are teams that values innovation, fosters development and are passionate about the care we provide to people and their families.These posts will enable you to provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation for people with complex psychological, emotional and mental health needs, whilst contributing to the ongoing development of psychologically informed services.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with service users, carers, support networks, system partners and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver evidence-based, person-centred care. You will be supported to develop your specialist interests, contribute to service innovation, and play an important role in promoting psychological understanding across teams and partner agencies.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities:Provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention, including comprehensive psychological and cognitive assessments, formulation, evidence-based interventions, consultation and outcome evaluation for people with complex needs.

Promote person-centred and trauma-informed care, working collaboratively with individuals and carers to develop personalised care plans that respect diversity, choice, dignity and individual strengths.

Manage risk and support integrated care, undertaking risk assessments and risk management planning while working across community pathways, locality teams and integrated neighbourhood partnerships to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities.

Provide psychological leadership within the neighbourhood teams, offering specialist consultation and advice, delivering teaching and training, and contributing to the supervision and development of assistant psychologists.

Drive service improvement and innovation, contributing to audit, research, quality improvement, service development, care pathway design and initiatives that enhance accessibility, effectiveness and equity of psychological services
