Job summary

Join our friendly recruitment team and help Devon Partnership NHS Trust attract and appoint people who deliver outstanding care across our services. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support recruitment activity and create a positive, professional experience for candidates and recruiting managers.

You will often be the first point of contact for candidates and hiring managers, so we are looking for a real people person who is confident, approachable and able to communicate clearly in person and over the phone. You will take pride in excellent customer service and building effective working relationships.

Once trained, you will work autonomously, using your judgement to organise and prioritise a busy workload. You will manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently, supporting a recruitment process that is fast, responsive, safe, thorough and compliant.

The Recruitment Team sits within the Workforce Directorate and is responsible for managing recruitment across Devon Partnership NHS Trust. This is a substantive full-time role working Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, with some flexibility. There will be a requirement to support recruitment events which occasionally fall on a weekend.

The working base will be Wonford House in Exeter, with a mix of office and home working. There will also be very occasional travel across Devon and to other local careers events.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will support recruitment activity including making offers of appointment, completing pre-employment checks, liaising with candidates and recruiting managers, and generating contracts of employment.

You will conduct face-to-face ID checks, respond to recruitment enquiries and support candidates through the process. You will bring team-working experience, administrative expertise and excellent customer service skills.

The role is busy and often time pressured. You will need to be self-motivated, confident and able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to organise and prioritise a frequently interrupted workload.

As a team, we support one another to find solutions and complete work to a high standard. Your role will be key to the teams success, with strong communication skills and a clear focus on customer satisfaction.

You will help plan and support recruitment events throughout the year, follow up with candidates and act as a key contact for recruitment process queries.

You will play an important role in helping us connect with potential applicants and promote the wide range of opportunities available across the Trust.

If you are looking for a new and exciting challenge with the opportunity to contribute to a successful, high-performing team, we would like to hear from you.

Please note this is a full time role and we are therefore unfortunately unable to consider part time requests.
