Job summary
Supporting community nursing practitioners across Bedfordshire to enhance their clinical performance and confidence.
Work clinically with community nursing teams/clinicians to ensure service competencies are completed.
Act as a positive role model - maintaining clinical competence and credibility to enable provision of both professional and clinical supervision, skill development and support.
To take the lead on the development of clinical practice supporting the operational manager and Team Leaders
Drive the quality agenda and ensure that the Quality strategy underpins all operational services
To support the community nursing and wider community teams participating in out of hours on call rota where appropriate.
Main duties of the job
To support staff to identify learning needs and work in partnership with Team leaders to ensure all essential training required to perform the post is undertaken
To support senior managers and the Team Leaders to ensure locality services meet CQC requirements with particular regard to records management, ensuring the team maintain a high standard of both manual and computerised documentation.
Support the management of risks within the locality, taking appropriate mitigating action and ensuring the reporting of incidents in accordance with the policy.
To contribute to the peer review and assurance process across the localities in partnership with Team Leaders
