Job summary
The Post Holder will help in always improving and developing services throughout the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service Group. They will ensure that the employment and training of staff will involve experts by experience so that they have the chance to shape the future of the services they receive. In the course of their duties will:
Support the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service Group by being involved in employment processes, including being on the interview panel, supporting with and developing the questions to be asked, informing decisions on who we will employ, and giving a valuable viewpoint from a Service User/Carer opinion.
Support the development and delivery of teaching sessions and take part in local introduction programmes for new staff
Help service users and carers to assess our services through their own expert thoughts and experiences.
Provide insight into how policies, pathways, and practices affect people in real life
Represent the voice of people who use services, not just personal views
Main duties of the job
Help the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service Group to make clear, information for our services.o Help the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service group consider our services with your personal views, opinions andexperiences.o Help the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service group by being involved in the shaping of current and future serviceso Help the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service Group by going to meetings and sharing in the decisions. You will be animportant and equal member of the team.o Help the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Service Group to make the delivery of services better by helping us to makedecisions and being involved in quality improvement work.o Willing to develop, through specialist training opportunities, as agreed with team supervisor and team manager.o Able to focus whilst in meetings, doing interviews and recruitment, and training sessions.o Work with supervision within guidelines set out by the manager.o Work as required by the individual and the employer
